Avant Limo provides private, door-to-door transportation to the Del Mar Racetrack for the 2026 summer season, which opens Friday, July 17, 2026 and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026. Racing is Thursday through Sunday, plus Labor Day Monday, September 7, with a 2 p.m. first post. Your chauffeur drops you at the gate, so you skip the Jimmy Durante Boulevard queue and the parking lot entirely, then returns whenever you are ready. Rates are flat, quoted on request, and locked at booking, with gratuity included and no surge pricing.
The 2026 Del Mar season: race days and first post
The meet opens Friday, July 17, 2026 and closes on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026. Racing runs Thursday through Sunday, plus Labor Day Monday, September 7, so the track is mostly Monday through Wednesday, with the exception of Labor Day Monday, September 7. First post is 2 p.m. on race days, including Fridays, which previously went off later, and moves up to 1:30 p.m. for the closing weekend of September 5, 6, and 7.
Opening Day and the Pacific Classic, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, are the two dates that draw the heaviest crowds of the meet. They are also when the lot backs up earliest and when the rideshare surge bites hardest on the way home, which is exactly when a scheduled return is worth the most. Reserve well ahead for both.
Skip the parking, not the last race
The racetrack sits at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, and Jimmy Durante Boulevard funnels the whole crowd in and back out again. Arriving is slow. Leaving, when the stands empty at once, is slower. Being dropped at the gate removes both problems, and it removes the question of who is driving home after a long afternoon in the sun.

Race day is rarely a simple one-way trip, so you have two ways to do it:

- Round-trip with a set return time, agreed when you book
- Multi-stop evenings, for dinner in Del Mar or the village afterward
Sedan, Black SUV, and reserving for the big days
The Luxury Sedan carries up to 3 passengers. The Black SUV carries up to 7, which covers most race-day groups in one vehicle rather than splitting the party across two rideshares that arrive ten minutes apart.
Coming from further out, we run to Del Mar from across San Diego County and from Orange County and Los Angeles. If you are flying in for the meet, we also handle the airport leg from San Diego International (SAN) or LAX with real-time flight tracking and complimentary wait time.
